Thanksgiving 2011

Here we are at Papa's house in Utah. I grew up in this house, so I love getting to stay there with kids and visit (aside from it being difficult to keep track of Dax sometimes, lol).

Thanksgiving Day:
Miss cutie sassy pants :) (she had just woken up from a nap here -she slept all through Thanksgiving dinner. Nice break for us!)
A little happier now that she has her sucker.
Sammy's little buddy Neah.
I had fun hanging out with kids in the basement. Perfect room to keep them all corralled and watch a movie.
So hard to get a picture of Dax holding still, and when I do he is taking a drink ;)

The NEWLYWEDS!! They got married two days prior. Aren't they so cute?!!
Keri and Lara.

Hanging out with my Sammers :)
4 of the 6 Hansen sisters :)

I LOVE Thanksgiving!! It really has become the holiday where everyone is there -Christmas is awesome, of course, but Thanksgiving I get to see everyone at once (but this year we were just so busy with our kids and keeping Dax in check that we didn't get to totally socialize, but still, its so great seeing everyone!)
Happy (late) Thanksgiving!

*I'm posting on Christmas next (only one week late -I'm catching up!)

Halloween 2011!!

Sammy -our little Strawberry Shortcake, or as she says it, "Straw-bee cake". Too cute!

Now Dax was... well, we didn't quite know, and later found out it was a power rangers costume. Dax added a little storm trooper toy gun and became "star wars guy", as he called it (we found it while buying dress up stuff at goodwill, but it fit perfect, lol).
What would a holiday be without baked goods? ;)
Cousins :0)

So..., lol, Uncle Todd is the scary skeleton guy on the left. We passed these other two guys and just couldn't stop cracking up over the giant weird gorilla/big foot guy. Shawn's dream has always been to be a gorilla for Halloween, so he was loving this!
Kinda freaky I think (but the kind of freaky you can't stop staring at, lol).
Wow -my handsome guy!! Ya, ya, mooshy mooshy, but I sure love him!!
Sammy was taking turns with everyone, Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Christy, etc. She loved saying "Trick or treat", and even said thank you each time without being told (makes me smile).

Spoooky! I heard Dax say this so many times. He'd put his hands up by his face, and wiggle his fingers and say, "SpoooOOOOoooky". He loved Halloween, even more this year!! We went trick or treating in Grandma and Grandpa's neighborhood (they have some really fun streets full of people), and Dax was loving being with his cousins, and especially loved his Uncle Todd that night.
We got to do a Halloween party at Dax's school (hence the treats), and then went trick or treating the next night. My kids are still young enough (and Dax isn't a huge treat kid) that I was able to immediately stash their candy so they pretty much forgot about it the next day. I wish I could say I forgot about it the next day, lol. Thank goodness for candy donations!

Happy Halloween 2011
