Ragnar Del Sol, Arizona

Can I just say blogging in September about stuff in February is just shameful, but I'm determined to "catch up", so here goes:

This last February I did my second Ragnar Relay (first was June of 2010, Wasatch Back Ragnar in Utah). It was SO fun and I felt SO great the whole time, even with a slight cold. The girls on our team were awesome!! Talk about amazing athlete's as well. I can only dream of being that athletic!
Here we are (6:00 am?) near Wickenburg at the start line. I was the first runner [as was I for the Wasatch Back one... I think I like it that way -getting all the nerves out and getting it over with!].
From left to right its :Shanna, Renae, Janelle, Shelly, Lindsay and me.
Me ready to do my hard leg. Something like 8 miles and mostly uphill? Ya, but I felt really good and enjoyed it!! (even if I didn't know my ipod was about to die, only one song in -thank you Justin Beiber!)
Lindsay and Renae rocking the exchange!
Our vehicle. "Girls Got Game" was our team name. Ya-uh!

The night run. 7 miles!! It was fun to run at night! And I am so glad it was on busy streets and neighborhoods, their were other runners (stories to come about just how scary night running can be!!), and my team was so good to cheer me along!

My final run was at like 5:45 am, 3 something miles, and it was ironically my harder leg -I just wanted to be done, I couldn't get my temp right -I thought I would be cold so I had too much on and was therefore hot! And I was just plain tired!
By the end we had all survived -and Lindsay survived what seemed like the flu and dehydration, but still ran all her legs -she was AMAZING!! And Shanna made it through her brutal 8 mile run, at the end, with the last mile uphill, where she was rescued by a fellow runner with some powerade (yet she was still running not walking -these girls were SO tough!), and when she got to the finish line she was delirious and acting strange, and doesn't remember much about finishing :/, but we can all laugh about it now because WE DID IT!!!
Joyce (team captain), in Van 2, is my neighbor and good friend, who arranged it all, and she did an amazing job. She made it SO fun and everyone was so upbeat (well, we all got tired in the end). It was so fun to cross the finish line together at Tempe town lake -192 miles, I believe?!!
