Logan to Jackson, Epic Relay

My birthday present to myself this year was an Epic relay from Logan, UT to Jackson Hole, WY, in August. It was a 12 member team, and I believe this route was 186 miles (about).
Here is van 2 (even though we were smart and drove two cars so we had more room).

I ran a total of 3 legs, and I hate that I waited so long to blog this that I forgot the distances -but I think my first was 7, my second (at night) around 8 miles, and my last was about 5.
I think I was seeking redemption from my Utah Ragnar relay, where the hills and elevation and my cold kinda put a damper on things, and I had pretty hard legs on that one too.
I was hoping I could do this one and just rock it, but as it goes, I had to walk more than I would have liked. It was actually really hot. Note to self: beware of relay races in August...
Ironically it is hard to train in Arizona in the summer because of the heat. I'm inside most of the time.
I did a half marathon in Utah in July, so I felt a little ready. I am not a fan of running on treadmills, but that is going to have to change.

Our team name was "Victorious Secret"
Alisha thought of this... lol.
The finish line!! We were all pretty pooped, but so excited and happy to have accomplished that! I seriously fell in love with this group of women. I really hope I get to do it again with them someday!!
We went into not really knowing each other. Alisha and I knew each other in high school, and it turned out I knew Jill from high school (I'm two years older), but I did not know the other girls, so we all had so much fun getting to know each other and cheering each other on.
I really hope I get to do it with them again!!
(*we were still eating our fat boys in this picture... hehe)
