Second Summer Utah Trip!! August

We got to up to Utah for another week in August, after having been there 10 days in July! This trip was super fun, and my family was so awesome in helping me with the kids while Shawn was in Bonneville for Speed Week.
It was the week of my birthday as well, so my "present" to myself was doing a (running) team relay race from Logan to Jackson hole (next post...).
My testing out my hipstimatic app on my iphone :)
A really neat kids park in River Heights. We probably could have stayed here all day :)

Robin's soccer banquet -this picture was just too cute, but behind the scenes Dax was being a wild kid that night, woo whee, was he ever! But over all, they were really good for me on this trip.
Then we got to go to Robin's soccer game -she played for a junior college in Iowa.

Nora giving me her "gag" gift. Justin Beiber's new perfume. Talk about best failure of a gag gift ever -I LOVED it!!! It was actually a perfume I had just happened to smell walking through Macy's a few weeks earlier, but didn't buy even though I wanted to. Now, I love it and wear it every day. I don't think I've Ever loved a perfume enough to wear it every day. THANKS NORA!!!!
I am twenty nine and loving it. I can say I'm not afraid to be so close to turning 30. I realized a few years ago that not a whole lot changes as we age. Life just gets better, and we're just more conditioned to handle the hard stuff :)

This field was named in honor of my Grandpa :). This is the field at Sky View High School in Smithfield, Utah. My Dad graduated from Sky View high school, as well as his 3 siblings. My Grandma Hansen taught there for many years as well. As of next year, 2012, all six of my Dad's daughter's (me and my 5 sisters), will have graduated from Sky View high school (or at least attended -Diana made a switcharoo to Logan high school -leave it to Diana to break the mold, hehe). It made me pretty to proud to visit this year and see this sign for the first time :)

This is Sammy, Halle, and Dax being entertained... of course Dax always has to run off at least once. This time it wasn't the bathroom or the fields or the parking lot, lol, it was the announcers box (the 2nd floor -so he was hard to find). If there is a place to be found (or lost, if you will), this kid will find it!!

Sammy, my little princess :) We got to go to their cousin Cohen's 5th birthday party, Captain America themed! It was so cute, and such a perfect summer day!! Talk about some lucky party goers!! Of course, I got to chase Dax the whole time -thank goodness Sammy pretty much stays put!
I am so grateful I was able to go to Utah this summer, twice!! I am realizing how hard it can be to be alone with 2 kids for that long away from home, but what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, so now home life seems pretty easy, hehe.

*I'm almost caught up with my blog! Yay -just 1 more post, and its on to Halloween and Thanksgiving!

It was a pretty special summer, so I really wanted to get it on the blog. A summer I don't want to forget!!!
